I have an (aluminum) hardtop for a WW2 era jeep
It has the doors, windows in doors, windshield frame and windshield glass. There is no glass in the windows of the top itself. I have two old window glasses, but it does not appear that they are the right ones for this top. It belonged to a Marine friend of mine that has a WW2 jeep and he used it on his jeep, so I am quite sure it is authentic. He had to move and put his jeep in storage and I am selling the top.
The rear corners are curved formed sheet metal and not 90 degree square corners which, I am told, indicates it is WW2 era. The fittings in the corners of the framework are machined and not bent-up sheet metal. I am told this also is an indicator that it is WW2 era. I am not a WW2 jeep expert, but the fellow that gave me these two comments IS a WW2 vehicle owner and expert.
My friend stored it in a shed when he had it, and I have stored it outside under a plastic tarp for the last 8 months. It has rust between the rain gutter tracks and the body over the doors, but that is the only rust I have seen. It is in very solid condition.
We are currently asking $1,400 but will consider all offers.
We are currently advertising it on Craigs' list Seattle under Collectibles. (We might move it to Auto Parts later). There are 4 photos of it there. I have other photos I can email. Call or email with questions. 425-821-0489 crooksy@msn.com Thanks - Todd Crooks

SCORPION UNDER RESTORATION FOR SALE WHEN FINISHED

A friend of mine here in Ohio is in the process of restoring a CVR(T) FV101 Scorpion (British aluminum hulled high speed reconnaissance tank), the same as Stuart Robinson has. From personal observation this machine will be restored to the highest level, and most probably the price will reflect this. One advantage a buyer may have is that this Scorpion is already here in the USA and will not need to have any special permits. The Scorpion is a street legal tracked vehicle, Jaguar powered, and FAST!
If you are interested let me know and I will make arrangements to take pictures of the vehicle as work progresses. I do not have an estimated selling price at this time however serious inquiries will be forwarded to the current owner.
(NOTE: Picture above is NOT that of the Scorpion mentioned.
There is a USN com van for free in Goldbar. I have pictures. Nothing much to look at, though. Used to be on axles. Gone. Don't remember the designation, but it's 21 feet long or so, 8 feet wide, 8 tall or so, generator went in the rear, has 5 mounting positions for the MX6707 tactical antenna base as found on jeeps and such. Looks to be mid 50's.
Big opening cut in one side, floors messed up, etc. I'm not recommending it to anyone, unless you have a really, really warm spot in your memories for one of these. It could be brought back to life, but only with major work. To move it would take a crane, since it's not a shelter with skids underneath. Can't be dragged onto a trailer. It would be fine as a woodshed. Having said all that, if you honestly want to see pix and get a number, contact me. Jim W7LS@blarg.net
